Why Isn’t Bing XHTML Compliant?

I asked Bing why it wasn’t XHTML 1.0 compliant and this is what it said:

Sounds like what you’d expect from a search engine made by Microsoft. Begs the question of how Bing is any better than Google or Yahoo? FAIL.
